 148% increase in mobile banking accounts


According to the PTA report, Pakistanis made online transactions worth 10,600 billion in the financial year 2021-22.

In three years, the number of mobile banking accounts increased to eighty-five million. Online banking grew by 32% during FY 2021.

The number of e-commerce retailers in Pakistan also increased by 76% to 4,445. In the last three years, app based mobile banking transactions have increased by 90 crores.

According to PTA, 93% of households in Pakistan have a personal mobile phone.
